I was disappointed with these pads. These rear pads were purchased along with the front pads for an 08" Acura MDX. The pads have less surface area than the OEM and the low pad indicator was not riveted to the pad, you must snap it in place and it does not stay attached and eventually falls off.But the front pads are great.These pads just aren't a comparable OEM replacement.

So far, so good. It's been a week and they're working better every day. Discs can get dusty but who cares, they work great! I've used this with Power Stop Drilled and Slotted rotors and they are a great match. I've found that they grip even better when heated. With all the stops and drives I make in parts of New Jersey and trips to Long Island, I sometimes encounter nasty traffic in Brooklyn and Queens on the Belt Parkway that really blows the OEM parts away.

First I would like to say that Akebono makes the best rubbers for everyday use. I have used Akebono on three vehicles. I changed the rear brake pads on my 2015 Pilot. The support points on the pads, the small studs are rounded on the originals but on the Akebono pads I received they are the shape like the picture I posted. They don't fit properly on the gaskets. I believe the wrong pads are in the ACT1281 box. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Much better than OEM. Braking appears to be much more powerful than the OEM, even under heavy loads. On a recent 4km trip I drove in a fully loaded minivan with 8 people + luggage. Repeatedly driving from 70 mph to near zero didn't strain or degrade brake function like the OEM did. OEM tendency to heat up and break less. It seems different: the hotter the brakes, the better they work. Here, too, and not on the race track, but in tough everyday tests, they hold up very well.
