These chalk crayons don't work very well. You really have to make an effort to apply them to show the color. My daughter has very light brown hair so it might be easier for her to work with someone with blonde hair. But I think it's just a chalky substance that takes an effort to show the color. On the other hand, it was very easy to get the color out!

It's hard to hit. I have light brown hair and my daughter has to press hard on the handles to show the color then it gets clumpy. It washes off easily and does not stain skin or clothing. Great for little girls but not suitable if you want professional looking streaks

My girls love them and they last forever, not on the hair but they can be used forever. I think we've had them for a year now and my two daughters still love them. My youngest has dark brown hair so it takes a bit of effort to show and works best near the scalp or when the hair is pulled back. They wash off easily but can also rub off clothing or furniture - this is chalk so expect it!
