This towel rail is well made and looks nice. I wanted it for the kitchen as I like the towel rail on the side of the wall unit next to the sink. The only problem with this was that the U-shaped part of the holder sticks out of the cabinet quite a bit, making it easy for the towel to fall off. Apart from that I am very happy with it.

Don't make the mistake I made when you asked for another one because the back plate wasn't included, you just have to unscrew it with a small screw. Luckily I liked the product so much that I'm keeping the sent replacement as well as the original for the guest bathroom. Very easy to install with my limited tool kit. Like his looks. Highly recommended.

Angled photos of the product do not show this but the top and bottom horizontal parts of the tube are not parallel. If such unusual things drive you crazy, this product might not be for you. Otherwise it appears to be a well made product. The corresponding toilet paper holder has the same problem. I've attached a photo taken straight up showing the down tube.

Too bad these are really decent rods, they look classy and great but their attachment mechanisms just suck. I've ordered one in black and one in brushed nickel, they both look great, but they're a long way from having them mount flush and not wiggle and move, forget it, guts are cheap crap. I had to use clear gorilla gel glue and a way to attach them to the wall to try to get them not to wobble, move or eventually just pull out of the wall.

Nice and nice finish but the set screw that holds the hook to the wall plate is not a secure fit. As a result, when the screw is loosened from the locked position, the hook rotates or tilts and the towels end up on the floor. Now I'm hoping the screw locking glue (to prevent the screw from loosening with normal vibration) is working. to fix this or I'll have to buy a replacement towel hook. I do not recommend this hook, especially if you have children!
