I bought two of these to put one on each side of my pontoon boat. We attached them to the top of the pontoon and then coated them with clear silicone to make them waterproof and attach them to the pontoon. So far they're working great. Keep in mind that despite being LED they draw 60 watts at 5 amps according to their specs. I had to put mine on their own circuit, which worked fine.

I read some of the reviews on these lights and found that the listing says that due to complaints they changed the adhesive to "3M VHB Foam Back Tape" instead of the red stuff you see in the pictures. Like others I had the same problem with unplugging the LEDs, they work fine but I was hoping I had the answer to the sticking problem, I don't think so. :( I'll glue it again tomorrow. Delivered quickly and everything came together. Probably didn't have to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (not used), but used about two meters of the regular wire suggested for a shortcut On the power supply seems to be the sticking which has been mentioned quite a bit in other comments

Edit 1, 02/13/20; Removing the backing is extremely difficult, the best way I've found is to take a razor blade somewhere in the middle of the strip, not the edge!, and try to find a magic spot that's just the red lining removed / backing, boring and hit n' miss, but successful so far. If you try this at the end of the strip it will probably just separate the blackstick pad and ruin the strip as it's sticking to something. I installed these lights in 4 foot sections of clean new aluminum. To make sure it was clean, I rubbed alcohol on it again. When I installed the fourth bar, the first bar had already started falling off! Not even 15 minutes have passed!
