The top review for this cake server says it's "almost flimsy". I just want to say that he is not skinny at all. I can't even bend it! Beautiful and makes a great gift for millennials who probably didn't know cake servers exist but would use one if they had one. :-)

This thing can lift both. This thing can lift a lot more things, but I can't think of anything more important than pie and cake. You could probably use it for cookies, but fingers work for them. I do not recommend using it as a mason's trowel.

I read some reviews that said this cake server was unreliable. It's somewhat flexible and you might bend it if you try, but I wouldn't call it fragile. It has enough spring to tip the tip under the cake and push it down without ruining the cake. In general it works fine for me.

Like all All-Clad cookware, this one is top notch. Mirror finish, durable and should last a lifetime. I have a lot of All-Clad cookware and cutlery and it couldn't be better. As far as I know the dishes are made in the USA and the dishes are made in China. I think if this is true then All-Clad should have very good quality control in their Chinese operations.

Arrived three days after ordering, thank you! This server is heavy, nicely balanced and designed to slide smoothly and easily under a piece of cake and pull it out intact and beautiful for display. It will be a perfect gift. I wish I had had one a few years ago and will buy another one. Pretty enough to be served with an official silver dinner service and at a bargain price!

Very functional, simple and stylish look. Defects? It doesn't meet the same standards as our other all-clad cookware. We have a range of measuring cups and spoons, all of which are very durable. It seems much cheaper and almost flimsy. We were immediately disappointed by its relative weightlessness. For $10 it's decent. For $20. I would shop more and look for something more permanent unless it fits what you want/need for makeup.
