I bought this because I need a stand for her Kindle Fire. It fits perfectly with your FreeTime Kindle Fire 8 inch. The only thing I don't like is that the speaker holes are on the bottom back of the case, while the speakers on their Kindle are clearly on the bottom (as seen in the last photo). Good dense foam, holds its shape well but offers good protection from bumps. It was easy for a three-year-old to hold on to. It had a black uniform to keep its shape during transport; I thought the tablet would fit the form and that there are no cutouts for ports and a speaker as another reviewer said, but we pulled the plastic piece out and the tablet immediately stood up. Would buy again.

Our 4 year old loves this case. It's really easy. I think it's lighter than any other case we have on other tablets. The handle is perfect for carrying. On the back wall are small retractable coasters that she uses all the time to watch a show or play a game while sitting upright on her desk.
