Costs money. for chokes

Used these for 5 years on my old quads. I just bought a second set for my new 2020 Polaris ATV and they fit great and look great. They can bend with the thumb gas so they don't stick straight out! They actually prevent your thumb from hurting on long rides, you won't experience any soreness or pain while using them. 5 years of continuous use so I speak from real experience.

Pros
  • High-quality version
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Make sure it fits you and your throttle

Installed it on my new ATV and took it off after a few uses. OK. It appears to be well made and will likely last for quite a while once you have it fitted. It didn't fit the contour of my gas pedal and I couldn't get it to fit comfortably for me. My hand hurt a lot after just a few hours of driving. After installation it becomes very stiff and flexing puts a lot of stress on the throttle. I bent it as hard as I dared and then gave up. I could take it off and bend it back to fit me better, but…

Helped 7 year old on throttle

Like others she complained of pain and soreness in her thumb. weary. Mount this on a small 50cc ATV thumb throttle. It's strong but pliable so wasn't hard to do and I could just keep bending and working with it until I got it, so it was secure but still gave her more leverage on the original thumb throttle. Now she has been able to ride for quite some time and can finally enjoy riding her which makes me feel so much better.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Expensive

Now my wife is happy.

My wife complained that the throttle on the Kawasaki Prarie I just bought was too sensitive so I started looking for an extension. From what I've been able to determine from the available information and reviews of numerous extensions on the market, this is the most customizable available. Being able to bend it for our application also made things a lot easier. The only issue I had was that after I installed a new pair of hand grips the throttle would not clear the inner flanges of those grips…

While it's not very pretty, it does what it's supposed to do.

I have a 2019 Can Am Outlander. I have found that there are very few options for a throttle body extension for this vehicle. It worked great and definitely takes the pain out of holding the throttle with your thumb. We took a long trip last week and I had no problems. I know there are complaints about ties, and while they're not very attractive from a cosmetic standpoint, my level of comfort outweighs my desire for them to look beautiful. It is very easy to install. I had to shave some of the…

5 year old can ride now

I bought a new Polaris Outlaw 50 for my 5 year old daughter. Within minutes her pinky was so swollen and weak that she could no longer control the throttle. We waited a few days and tried again. The same thing. She could only drive a few minutes. I thought I had to sell a brand new ATV with an engine in just 10 minutes. I researched a few options and reluctantly settled on this one (ties? Really? I wasn't expecting much. I figured it was going to be a crappy setup for sure). I must say - in one

Love my thumb buddy

My husband and I recently bought a couple of quads and as it was my first quad I didn't know what to expect. I quickly realized that small hands are useless when controlling the ATV throttle. My thumb kept slipping off and on long rides my hand got numb. I found a thumb bud and thought I'd give this one a try. They have one that doesn't use zippers, but it may not fit all chokes, so I tried that one. It works as described and looks good there too. You can actually see zip ties if you're not…
