🚰 Stainless Steel AllSpice Metal Funnel - 1" Bottom Diameter Review

We use this funnel to fill spice jars. It's also a great funnel for pouring whole coffee beans into containers. I like that there is no seam to trap small particles. The metal is very strong and I expect it will be a great tool for decades if not centuries!

I already have a set of 3 funnels but they are not suitable for filling large particles. This one with a large opening is great for pouring pepper into a coffee grinder etc. It's a beautifully shiny stainless steel. The only downside is that the edge could be smoother. However, this is not a deal breaker for me.

I've been trying to fill spice jars with a narrow-necked funnel for too long. Some spices (especially cinnamon) inevitably clogged the bottleneck, making the seasoning process more difficult than I wanted. This funnel solves that problem forever. I can fill my spice jars in no time and clean them just as quickly (just throw them in the dishwasher). Highly recommended.

It felt like a silly "first world problem" type purchase, but I'm pretty sure I managed :) Liquids. I like this diameter. It is easy to fill and large enough for spices to flow through easily. It's also completely smooth unlike what I have which has a rib to let air out of the bottle so it's a lot easier to clean.

This is a shallow funnel so any aggressive charge will spurt out in all directions. Very slow pouring or solids/thick liquids should be fine. I use it to get thick ground ginger paste into a 1 inch bottle and it's about the width of a funnel. Works well but requires the help of a spatula. A regular deep funnel would probably be better (I just couldn't find that size).

I needed something to fill my traditional salt shakers. They are made of ceramic and have a filling hole at the bottom. This solved the problem. Now I also use it to fill spice shakers, but a wider tip works better. I bought the narrow tip because the wider one was out of stock; I'll wait for a broader tip to become available again, this system works so well. I used to have a plastic funnel set for salt, spices and preserves (circa 2006) but I'm not sure I trust them as they seem to leach a bit

This funnel is easy to use. It's highly polished so the spices glide through easily, and the paper towel makes it easy to wipe between filling different spice jars. It is very wide so spices can be easily poured in without spilling. The small end is 1 inch wide, which allows larger spices like rosemary or dill to flow without clogging, but it fits the top of my spice jars. It was fantastic! It used to take me 15-20 minutes to fill spice jars. I used a paper towel as a funnel and it was messy and time consuming. With this funnel, I am no longer afraid of the task. The top is big enough that I could just pour it straight into the funnel from the container without any fuss or careful pouring.
