Worked great in my 1965 SBC 327

Saw a few of these at different prices but took a chance based on some reviews. Received it, there were no instructions or anything, assembled it and knocked out my first bearing in about 5 minutes. Passed all 5 with no problems, highly recommend for removing cam bearings from SBC GEN1. Haven't installed any new bearings yet, but will update as soon as I do.

This is not universal. I should have listened to other reviews and chosen a different brand. I got this because I was in dire need of a camshaft bearing tool and it was too small for a baby 4 cylinder jeep engine mount. I ended up using it as a hammer extension to pry open the old bearings and then just used the side of the alignment tool and the tape to center the bearing but it failed miserably. After all, take it somewhere and ask someone to do it, don't try to save $5.

Really good value for $4

This is a fantastic product. I used it on a 1995 3.4L Chevrolet with pinched bearings (no access between the cylinders, just breather holes and lifter holes in the oil valley). So after inserting Bearing 1 you need to flip the tool head and then insert the tool driver from behind. Feed the motor and drive bearing 1 back through the neck. Repeat this process for #2. Remember that you need to flip the head of the tool while it's still between the necks, this tool makes this very easy. Bearings 3…

Can't beat the price!

I had to reorder because I accidentally scratched my first one. I only noticed this after I installed all the bearings on my Chevy 350 (which prompted me to re-order the bearings as well). Lubricate the bearing bracket with a small amount of oil to ease installation and reduce the risk of breakage. the formation of scratches or scratches on the bearings. The rubber ring will thank you and still hold you tight enough. Make sure the surface is free of dirt, grime, or shavings after each bearing…

It worked well - Engine Parts

I used this tool on a Chevy 4.3L V6 with a T before the serial number. With the bearings in the middle, only one side is straight where you would put the bearings. This is the side they have to go in or they won't hit straight. I rushed to use the tool and did not test it. The end of the tool that goes into the bearing had some sort of sharp edge. If you don't level the tool, the sharp edge will scratch the bearing and leave marks. The tag doesn't damage the bering but I don't like it and I…
