Great Dehumidifier: Dehumidifier

Great dehumidifier, worked great after a tropical storm flooded our basement 6 inches (which doesn't normally flood). What is flooded, we got this dehumidifier. And it also keeps our normally damp and damp basement dry. I would recommend it to anyone who has a damp basement.

Excellent item

This device exceeded all expectations. The humidity in my sealed crawlspace averaged 76-80%. It fell to 55% within 24 hours. After 3 days I have 45%. I am very happy. A few additional notes. It comes with filter and hose. Which I couldn't find in any of the descriptions on Revain.

Works fine, but the fan always runs.

I want the fan to turn on for a few minutes per hour to measure the humidity and check the need for its operation. The fan runs constantly and adds about $12 to my electric bill. The dip always works whether the capacitor is supposed to work or not. Not very loud but I always hear it in my room, decent noise for sleeping I think.

This product works GREAT!

Installed in my 2500 sqm. Feet with plastic covering. I had a lot of humidity, around 76%-78% under the house. I installed this unit and after about 5 days the humidity was down to 50%, it works great, pumps the water as it should and I'm very happy with my investment. Feel free to buy it if you have moisture issues in a large room, it works great!

Difficult to install and noisy

I chose Alorair based on the negative reviews of Aprilaire dryers on Revain. I did this in my basement and the difficulty of installation is the main reason for my 3/5 star rating. The inlet duct is not 12" but closer to 11.5", so installing a 12" flexible duct and further maintenance is very difficult. Also if you plan on putting it in an unfinished utility room in your basement. because it won't be easy, especially if you don't have enough space.

Scrap, preferably in dehumidifiers

Compressor broke after 6 months of moderate winter use in a completed and heated/air conditioned basement. Update 1: And getting a device warranty is really something special; Their support engineers are based in China and the only repair center in California has been open for a week now and will take at least 14 business days to ship. Doesn't remove as much water as advertised

So this summer has been a very wet one. I have no problem with moisture in my basement. I have a ranch so all the bedrooms etc are on the first floor. The house had a humidity of 60%, but at times it reached 80%. I bought this unit to reduce humidity in a little over 2,000 square feet on a single floor. Although I've been using this for the past 2 months with no problems, I was curious and yesterday measured how much water it removed. It was about 2 gallons in 8 hours while the humidity was…
