Works on light brown hair softens hair

I have naturally dark brown hair and my stylist gave me a beautiful rosy brown color and she added shades of purple to make it look even better but the purple and pink tones faded so fast that by week 3 my hair was an ash golden brown. I bought this to revitalize the rose gold bits I had left and it has definitely added subtle reddish pink tones to my hair again.
