Very easy to use, best arc welders

I hired them to repair a table saw guard that was out of stock. I was amazed at how easy it was to use. I practiced on scrap aluminum before the repair. I checked mapp gas and propane. I've found that propane provides enough heat to complete the project. Is it as good as real welding? I don't know but it did what I needed and I didn't need any special equipment to weld aluminum.

    Pros
    • Good product for the price
    Cons
    • There are new competitors

Right up there with Welders & Accessories

The reviews I've read on here have ranged from terrible to great so I was a bit unsure about these things but they work great! I would call that brazing, not soldering or welding, and if you've ever steamed copper tubing you know the technique. Heat the workpiece, from time to time tear off the flame and use a chopstick to check if it is hot enough. Never bring a flame to the rod, use the heat of the work piece to melt it and it will flow like solder. I use the other end of the rod to shake off

    • Easy to read control panel
    Cons
    • Cord is shorter than others

Works as described and shown in the video

I saw the video and ordered a set of 20 as I have always wanted to fabricate and/or repair aluminum. I ignored the negative reviews as most products have their skeptics. Tried the soda can shown in the video and it worked great. Then I tried putting some aluminum on a spare aluminum case I had lying around. It also worked well (see photo). As previously mentioned, clean material and proper heating of the material are key. I only had a propane torch so it took extra time for the aluminum case to

    It works, but takes patients

I've always heard aluminum welding is difficult. I bought this product hoping I could avoid buying a machine because I'm a mobile mechanic. When I bought them just to have them working, a customer called me to fix a cracked air conditioning line. While using this product I thoroughly cleaned the cracked air conditioning line twice and when I welded the line it failed. I told my client that the third time is nice, if not I leave it to you free of charge to come visit and fix it. He responded…

Light Weight/Dishonest Seller, Poor Adhesion - AVOID

When I received the bundle of rods it just didn't feel complete. So I weighed it and it turned out to be less than 9%; 14.5 ounces versus 16, or 415 grams versus 454. (And yes, my scale was accurate, I checked it on an analytical balance and it was accurate to the gram). stick very well. I had thoroughly clean aluminum (wire and thinner) and MAP gas with lots of heat on the small parts and it looked like that solder had just come to the surface. It turned out to be well wetted and the joints…
