Aluratek HD 1080P Video Webcam: Perfect for PC, 📸 MAC, Desktop & Laptop | Video Calling, Conferencing, USB Support Review

My daughter bought these because she was in dire need of a webcam and they are sold out everywhere due to quarantine. The picture quality is 1080p, very clear. Installation is as simple as plugging it in and placing it on a laptop. She uses it on a gaming computer and the picture is very clear.

firstly there is no autofocus. It looks like metal in the photo, but it's actually plastic. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because technically it works like a camera. €100 is too much for that. I ended up going to Lenovo's website and bought their camera, which was better in every way, for $75.

This camera DOES NOT WORK well with MacOS. I even tried to get a refund and the company refused to give my money back. The image from the camera is much darker than it should be. Due to this problem I had to buy another camera and couldn't fix it with the software in macOS. Absolutely not worth buying if you have an Apple Mac computer due to this problem!

I looked at 1080 Best Buy webcams and found this one of the few. Then I looked at Aluratek as it is not a brand like Logitech. What gave me confidence was that they had some sort of product track record (in their case, digital photo frames), so I was willing to give them a shot. If you like presenting your face right in front of the webcam, this is for you. The image quality is very good in a very small area, which is probably too small for most. I put it at arm's length from my head and at that distance it's basically a 2004 webcam. Attached are photos of full light and no light (minor difference even with all the blinds closed). This is for AWCL05F. The camera works very well and provides clear images even in low light. When using the built-in light, I couldn't tell any difference. This can be useful in a very dark room, but I haven't tested it in these conditions. The microphone also works very well. I had no problems with the installation.
