This is my first time showing my dog at conformation shows but this type of collar was recommended to me. It seems strong and much thinner than the usual "choke chain" you can buy at the pet store. Does not leave thick lines on dog's coat when shown.

I love the look of my black Great Dane - even better, it saved my ass at a dog show when my Great Dane was freaking out in the crowd. I was able to pull him towards me while wearing that chain collar - all his 142 pounds. Looking good [invisible] in exhibition rank. Hold it high under the dog's jaw for maximum control and not strain his neck. However, he would NOT use it every day on a dog that big.

To be used for dog shows. It doesn't cut the fur or hurt the dog like some others do. I bought both 20 inch and 18 inch. I use gold paint for dark brown dogs.

Ideal for presenting a small dog, in this case a Greyhound puppy. Won't work when she's an adult, but by 6 1/2 months she's perfect. An important note: chrome comes in many shades from dark to silver to almost white silver, it is almost white silver, lighter than regular chrome. Works great for me because I have a white dog, but might be important for others.
