Revain Basics has done it again. This is an oddly specific cable that we had to run around our media room. The ports are well done and everything works flawlessly. No questions.

I chose this article because I needed an extra HDMI cable to connect my PS4 to my TV. Little did I know this is NOT an HDMI to HDMI cable. Not only that, it didn't connect to anything on my Smart TV. The quality makes a really good and durable impression. I tried really hard to get this to work lol.

This cable works well as a displayport video output (ie connected to a video source) when HDMI is connected to the display for video input. It's only one-way compatible, so you can't connect an HDMI port to a video source that has its DisplayPort connector connected to a secondary display. FYI I learned the hard way trying this cable for my laptop and external display setup.

My video card only has one HDMI port which is already in use but I wanted to add a second identical monitor to my setup. Luckily my desktop card has 2 display ports so I only needed a DP to HDMI cable for a second monitor. It is EXCELLENTLY made, the monitor response is exactly as expected and works exactly as it should! Just make sure you choose the right length. I have a 3ft cable and wish I had some more slack so I could place the monitor a bit further.

DisplayPort to HDMI cables were not working. The problem was that neither of the two cables ordered could display the image in 4K mode. They were only displayed in 1080P mode and only output the sound on the stereo channel! I needed 4K display capability for movies or movies and 7.1 audio playback. After carefully testing the cables with various devices, I came to the conclusion that the power rating is either incorrect and limited to 1080P, or the cables are defective from the factory…

I have an old small form factor PC next to my big TV. Wireless keyboard and mouse on the couch. It doesn't have a DisplayPort. Of course, the TV has an HDMI input. I used an adapter but after 3 years it failed. I went with a cable and bypassed the adapter and this is the perfect solution. Business PCs often use DisplayPort on the PC and monitor.
