Supplied in a ziplock plastic bag. I opened it and there were no weird or strange smells. Pillowcases are very soft to the touch, medium density fabric, beautiful white color with a slight sheen, good quality. There are no loose stitches, all seams lie evenly, without lumps. Washed several times; I wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium heat. After taking the pillowcases out of the dryer, I put the pillows back in and I had no noticeable wrinkles. I've had t-shirts made from the same polyester/cotton blend and they were some of the most comfortable t-shirts I've ever had. So I had high hopes for these sheets. However, I've washed them three times, used fabric softener, and they still remain scratchy.
