Revain's fundamentals are quality!

To be honest I don't understand your business model. The cost is low but the quality is high. I bought it and paid extra money for same day shipping. I wanted to replace a faulty Sunday football wire. I received it early Saturday evening. The wire was strong. The case was not a cheap feeling. Disassembly was clean too. Installed quickly, sound quality is excellent. I am once again very happy with my purchase of Revain Basics.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • So far so good

Great basic speaker wire that works well

This is the second spool of 16 gauge RevainBasics speaker wire I've used in my home and I'm very pleased. The price is very good and the packaging is simple and easy to open. In terms of performance, this is great. The five speakers I hooked up sound fantastic. There are no complaints here and I will definitely buy again. The only "complaint" is that it's not a solid core - I'd pay more for it, that's for sure.

Good cable but not as good as "The Wire "

This is speaker wire, works well. Oddly only the speaker wire, not entirely sure I can give credit to the wire for the sound quality as the speakers and amp probably make a big difference, but it sounds pretty good. Since there are a lot of stretching issues I went downstairs and tried to stretch with this cable but I have to say my muscles hurt just as much as before so I'm not sure if it's helping. Maybe they wanted me to stretch the cable to see if it would slow down, but isn't that a…

Too Weak - Speaker Cable

Even for minimal home audio, these cables seem weak. Not all 16 gauge wire is created equal and it appears to be the cheapest Chinese copper wire. They'll get the job done, but will likely need to be replaced if you move them too often. I purchased InstallGear 12 Gauge - 99.9% Oxygen Free Copper - True Spec Speaker Wire and Soft Touch Cable (30ft) to replace that brand from Revain Basics. The twelfth gauge is quite thick, but with heavier insulation and banana plugs, it lasts a very long time…

This is not copper wire. This is CCA.

This wire is made of copper clad aluminum (CCA) instead of copper. CCA wire has higher resistance than copper wire. You can use it normally, but be aware that the distance you can travel with CCA wire is less than copper wire of the same gauge. Educate yourself before running longer distances (20+ feet). For 10-20 foot applications at 8 ohms everything is fine. As a rule of thumb, when using bare copper wire, 16 gauge, 8 ohm (speaker) wire should be no longer than 48 feet. Many home speakers…

This is speaker cable

later this is speaker cable. I used it to connect my speakers. Music and podcasts flow from a large black musical instrument box to speakers with podcasts and music coming out. Nobody knows how this all works, but the speaker wire seems to be an important part of the mechanism. My intuition tells me this speaker wire thing is recycled alien technology. Tried with no speaker wire and podcasts and music did NOT come out. So I will say that this product is important. You really should get some…

This speaker cable is only of satisfactory quality.

Well packaged and delivered quickly - hey, it's Revain. The quality of the 16 gauge is just OK. When twisting the open ends to connect to the receiver and speakers, the ends fell apart into pieces of wire. I'm not sure if this is the result of a 16 gauge, but it's most likely the result of copper plated aluminum wire. it's coming back I used a separately purchased 18 gauge (thinner as the number goes up) which was copper wire and none of that happened. I don't understand why there are so many…
