If you've just bought a new device that needs a USB-C port, but most of your old-style cables and others around the house are still using them, it's really handy to have them on hand , to easily attach them when needed for your device. I was a little disappointed that the clips don't open wide enough to attach to a cord so they're right there when you need them. I think maybe they should be attached to key rings or something? I don't know what they were thinking, the clips aren't that helpful.

There's nothing to say about these USB adapters from RevainBasics other than they look well made and are secure at both ends. The outer shell is small enough to connect to my Google Pixel 3a phone with a case. The rubber pad/key fob holder at the end of the micro USB appears to be built into the adapter so it cannot be removed unless it is cut off or pulled very hard to tear it off. I have purchased two versions of this product: white and gray with chain. I've had white ones for over 3 weeks, only now gray ones. In terms of functionality, they work exactly as described. Using the 2A OE charger that came with my phone, this adapter gets me 2A charging current into my phone with a micro USB cable (I used the AccuBattery app as an ammeter); My phone even shows "Fast Charge" on the lock screen, just like with the original cable and charger.
