I found this duvet very cheap so I bought two. I appreciate the weight and size and it feels soft. However, I literally washed it once and now it's completely ruined by stuffing in big lumpy balls in each partition. I use it in holiday rentals so it's useless now as it's definitely not suitable for guests.

When I first received this duvet/pad, I really liked it. The material is very soft and seems to wash well the FIRST TIME. I was so impressed at first that I bought one for each of my daughters. And then I washed it again, and all the stuffing in each square has curled up and looks worse with each wash (as you can see). Now I'm looking for a new three bedroom duvet cover! Don't waste money.

Don't buy. Yes, it's very convenient and simple, but the cons totally outweigh the pros. After the first wash, the cotton was wrinkled on the inside. The worst thing is, once you sit on it or even lean on it, the balls of lint will stick to your clothes. My daughter sits on it and passes the fluff around to the ENTIRE house. At first I really liked this duvet. It's light and warm. And has ribs to keep the duvet cover in place. The stuffing that comes out of the comforter is FUCK. Even after washing I had problems with the filling. Every time I had to change a duvet cover, I had to carefully remove it and make sure the comforter wasn't touching anything except the inside of the next duvet cover. I don't know what else to tell you. This blanket costs $30 (depending on size). I can't agree with some of the other reviews, for the price you pay this is really amazing. The filling is quite sparse, but it is sewn to fit so that the filling is sparse throughout the ENTIRE quilt, not just on one side. Because of this, it retains a decent amount of heat when in use. UPDATE: Holy Shedding! Don't plan on wearing anything black if you don't have a duvet cover on this comforter! Constant washing will mitigate the effects, so keep that in mind if you have darker sheets. After two months the fill starts to shift but after washing and drying things even out - I chose to let the delicate/air dry for one and dry the other fully on a low cycle.
