These are the blisters I got after burning myself with this toaster. I fried the pop tarts on the 2nd minimum heat level. They came out charred, the glaze bubbling and burning. I grabbed them without thinking (because I was putting them on a low fire) and badly burned my hand. It was very painful. The temperature setting is useless. Regardless of the temperature setting, the food may come out barely toasty or burnt crispy. 100% not recommended.

I like the look and overall construction of this toaster but I was disappointed on several fronts. First, it takes a lot of pressure to pull the lever on the toaster - this worries me as I bought it for my aging mother and hoped it would be easy for her to use. Second, it doesn't roast very well! Some reviewers complained about the bad smell. I agree that when first tested it gave off an extremely strong and irritating odor.
