Does the job - with one caveat

Bought this along with the multiport dongle my company got for me so I could have a second monitor. The picture on the multiport dongle has some issues, but this Revain adapter didn't have any connection or display issues, I'm very happy with it. Sometimes when my Mac goes into the night shift, the display connected through this adapter doesn't dim. As a workaround, I have to disconnect and reconnect the adapter. I don't know why he's doing this.

Runs at 144Hz 1440p

I have a 32" LG QHD (2160 x 1440p) gaming monitor that supports 144Hz. However my Dell laptop (XPS 9560) only has one HDMI port which doesn't support full frequency updates Luckily it has a USB-C port and this adapter works GREAT full resolution but it didn't offer anything above 60Hz until I got the laptop restarted, then 144 Hz appeared in the display menu. Every time I unplug the adapter from the USB-C port and plug it back in, it automatically selects 144Hz again, so it works great for a…

Has been working for a year

I've been using the adapter for about a year now. It connects my new HP laptop to monitors and projectors that only have a display port. It connects easily and I haven't had any problems. (I only have Thunderbolt and HDMI on my new laptop, which is pretty common.) I've been using it almost daily for several months, ever since I bought a cheaper monitor that only had a DisplayPort, no HDMI. So it might be worth buying this and a cheaper monitor. I also tried this on a Samsung Galaxy phone and it

Not sure if it's an adapter but it didn't work for me

I bought it and connected a new displayport cable to the monitor and it didn't work. The computer detected that I had a monitor connected, but just gave me an error message warning me that it might not be working properly. I'm not sure if the problem is with the adapter or if the USB-C port on the computer isn't up to par. But in any case, you might want to have a backup plan for running the monitor. In my case, I had to go back to using an old USB-to-VGA converter that I wanted to eliminate…

I have an LG 32" QHD (2160 x 1440p) gaming monitor that supports 144Hz. However, my Dell laptop (XPS 9560) only has one HDMI -Port that doesn't support full refresh Luckily it has a USB-C port and this adapter works SUPER full resolution but it didn't offer anything above 60hz until I restarted the laptop then 144hz appeared in the displays menu Every time I unplug the adapter and plug it into the USB-C port it automatically goes back so 144Hz is selected Works great for a quick shutdown.
