I thought they would be great for making kumbucha (I usually just recycle old bottles) but one exploded on the 3rd day. I'm very disappointed and a little afraid to leave her alone next to the child.

These bottles are a good fit for me to bottle my homemade mead. They should also work well for home brewing, but the rubber disc may need to be changed every few batches. Great price per bottle compared to many home sites.

They all arrived safely and 8 of them are currently filled with IPA bottles for conditioning in the fridge. The glass is not too dark so you can easily see your levels as you fill up. You'll have to see the durability of the rubber stoppers, but when you first use them they fit snugly and seal well.

bottles of good quality. I had a hard time figuring out how to place the tops so they open properly. My husband finally got it. They are not so easy to open with the lid closed. I use these bottles for homemade vanilla and wanted a larger size. The lid issue is not a deal breaker and I will definitely be buying them again.

These bottles are of the highest quality. I've been using it to cook kifer soda for two years now. They are my favorites that I have used. Very long lasting and had some serious power if I let the batch ferment for too long. I recently contacted the company after all this time because one of my red seals on the lid had come loose or washed out, not sure. They offered to send replacements for free. So pretty!

I bought two flat brew bottles. This is a good option for sustainability reasons and I believe they will work for brewing beer or kombucha. It was a small investment and I didn't have to worry about buying bottle caps or wasting and throwing away metal caps. Eventually the plug seal may need to be replaced, but this is far less wasteful than capping and will biodegrade.

I have read many reviews to be careful when buying beer bottles, saving costs also means saving on quality. The bottles arrived well packaged and nothing was broken. I had problems with the second fermentation, didn't have a good seal so my beer was flat. These bottles solved the problem. I use Mr. Beer. Each bottle requires 2 drops of carbon dioxide. I am very happy with my new routine and look forward to many great batches of homemade moonshine.

All bottles I received were not broken and working. but there are some flaws, not that I mind, just thought I'd mention it. two of them came with some kind of liquid in them as there was condensation inside and one of the lids had a black mark which I rubbed off with my finger. Maybe already used? This doesn't worry me too much as the seals look intact and seem to be alive well and if they last more than 4 cycles I'll say they're worth it.
