Just right for engine cooling and air conditioning

Yes, there are cheaper sensors. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It does exactly what is expected. It fits exactly like an OEM. So if you need to replace the sensor, this is the perfect way.

Fits right and does the job

I have a 2001 330ci. My sensor was damaged and giving incorrect readings. I disabled the old corrupted one and installed this one and now it works fine with accurate readings. I will change this rating if I encounter any problems.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

Too hot for AC operation

Replaced my old OEM ambient temp sensor with this and it works as expected for the price. The difference is just over two degrees compared to the iPhone weather app, but this is Texas and two degrees is nothing. Big savings compared to OEM price.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling and Climate Control
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Worked several days

Worked several days. Replaced it with an OEM BMW part that was installed at the dealership as this part only worked intermittently so I turned to the experts for help. BMW cars are so finicky when it comes to electronics and seem to do better with OEM parts.

Pros
  • Air conditioning
Cons

Suitable for 2003 BMW 540i

Saved a lot of money and time. Bought for my mother-in-law BMW 540i. It broke, causing the AC power to become intermittent. The dashboard reads -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The exchange took less than 5 minutes. The dash now reads +85 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about right. Didn't give 5 stars because the clip doesn't snap into place. The pins touched and were quite firm, so the readings were correct. I still glued the straps to keep them from scattering.
