I bought this patch for myself. I am an adult with strabismus, meaning a lazy eye. I absolutely don't like any patch because I just hate not looking and looking like a pirate. But as for the patches, this one is good. Pros: thinner, less noticeable strap. Super soft fabric. Velcro-free strap that can be easily adjusted. This eye patch kind of keeps the eyelid closed which may not be what you want but it was just what I needed. (Some eye patches are designed to keep your closed eye open and free to move.) The material is pretty comfortable and soft as far as it goes when putting pressure on my iconic lashes lol. The elastic strap has a cheap feel - I expect it to wear out quickly, but that's what you get at low prices.

I am recovering from eye surgery and want to keep this eye closed and shaded during the day otherwise I have to close it to block out the light that makes me squint. This soft eye patch has worked very well for me so far. PROS: The adjustable strap means I can keep it tight enough to stay in place without being so tight that it irritates my skin. namely the strap. The whole eye patch is very soft and the patch itself would be very comfortable and nice to wear but unfortunately the strap makes it uncomfortable. The band is designed to fit the eye snugly - very uncomfortable! No matter how I try to position it or put it on, the band keeps catching my eye. I wear an eyepatch when I get cluster attacks to try and help with vision issues, but the pressure of the patches is too great for them to be of any use when I need them.

This is the soft patch I was looking for. However, my eye problem requires "not so close contact" with my patch. I bought another set of patches. more sponge under construction. Though not as soft as this silk. the other patch is not resting on my eye. (Bought also from Revain). The sponge plaster = y covers the eyes but is more heavily shaped and covers the eyes more than it rests on them. this works better for me than this soft well made patch. Material is as advertised. So it feels comfortable and gentle on the face. However, I have amblyopia and cover my strong eye to give my weaker eye a chance to strengthen. The patch should be concave to allow the strong eye to open, close, and blink in unison with the weaker eye. I suggest The Look Without Spectacles by Dr. Read Harold Peppard. He studied with Dr. Bates and has an impressive understanding of eye control.
