Soft, but there is one big drawback
namely the strap. The whole eye patch is very soft and the patch itself would be very comfortable and nice to wear but unfortunately the strap makes it uncomfortable. The band is designed to fit the eye snugly - very uncomfortable! No matter how I try to position it or put it on, the band keeps catching my eye. I wear an eyepatch when I get cluster attacks to try and help with vision issues, but the pressure of the patches is too great for them to be of any use when I need them.
