This is OLD copper, not light copper

It's about me because I'm looking at the photo and not the description, but it's very aged copper, not light copper. The other accents in my room are the latter, so the dark fill definitely shows that. I don't know if you can see it in my photo, but the wall switch is right next to the copper shelf, so the contrast is stark. The rest is perfect!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The screws are so short that they are unusable

Contrary to other commenters I think the plates themselves are good enough. They were the perfect copper color that I was looking for in my kitchen and was having a hard time finding. However, the supplied screws are useless. I was lucky enough to find a box of copper and bronze replacement screws in the aisle between the wall panels at Lowe's. That solved the problem for me, but of course it shouldn't.

Screws about 1/8 inch shorter

Like other reviews the screws are definitely a little short. The manufacturer really needs to fix this problem. The plate sticks out a bit more than normal switch plates, so the screws have to be adjusted accordingly. To solve this problem, I put new screws in the box and then painted the screws copper-colored. It turned out very nice. I still give 5 stars because they look really nice.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Frequency

I was lucky to find them. I was busy putting copper on a wall of a room when I saw this on Amazon. I ordered them. They arrived before I had the room ready. At the same time I made a complete wall apron for the kitchen. Before I was even done, I got them. When friends saw my project, in progress and completed. Everyone commented that the plates were PERFECT. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Screws that are too short are an installation nightmare

I thought this would be an easy and not too expensive upgrade for my home. Boy was I wrong. These are not standard sizes - neither the outlet cover itself, nor the screws. The screws themselves are the biggest problem. The ones supplied are much shorter than those used for standard wall panels. After trying to mount them on three different sockets to no avail, I had to order antique copper finish and swap them out for the existing screws. Which made this project horribly time consuming, not to…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
