🔬 Enhance Water Monitoring with American Marine's PINPOINT PH Probe Review

pH meter with the best value for money on the market. This is my third. I believe they should be replaced every three years or so. You can tell if there is a problem with accuracy after long-term use. The solution inside becomes ineffective, or in the case of my last solution, there was a small leak that resulted in algae in the sensor. No big deal, you can't expect this type of tool to last forever.

I have been using the Pinpoint PH monitor for 15 years from marine to freshwater aquariums. Styli are always easy to calibrate and last a long time. However, this company's probes are temperamental and the bulb at the end always seems to be broken. Now that I own two of these 18 months later I find them to be of poor quality. And the packaging is bad, suggests that they are used. I'd rather spend my extra money and get my probes direct from American Marine.

After purchasing a replacement PH sensor for my old Polaris Watermatic C-600 ORP/pH controller and seeing the current price around $200 I decided me to try it. It works great and I can calibrate the controller again. Physically the probe can be a bit smaller in diameter as I had trouble sealing well. It arrived in a box with no packing material, but given its weight and 10ft protrusion I don't think it moved much. The probe tip was in the solution vial as intended.
