American Valve P32S 1.25-inch Check Valve, 1.25-Inch Review

I knew this would restrict flow but I didn't know by how much. Apparently only one knows. Most importantly, if you are pumping water with any kind of dirt (small pieces), it will not allow it to leak out.

Rugged Unit. perfect feet. No leaks, 35psi system. However, the spring is too strong for my taste. I use this between my tanks and my pump. I need a decent water level in the tanks to get over the source to have water in the pump to get started.

If you have a water tank with a demand pump, you will need one of these between the tank and the pump. Works perfectly. Make sure your glue is perfect and let it dry - there's a lot of back pressure on these joints. A small embossed arrow shows the direction of flow of the water.

It does exactly what it promises. I lose prime all the time and those of you who have run the pump know what a pain it is. Now I don't lose my bloom anymore and it's really beautiful, it's probably one of the best things I bought this year, it saved me so much time.

I needed a check valve that used a damper instead of a spring. This device is excellent for what it is, but I can't use it because the spring pressure is more than I'll ever get on the drain line. If there was a picture of the inside of the block I would buy another one.
