AmeriLite Replacement Lights Silverado Harness Review

Arrived on time and matched the description. Looks really good on my truck. The only drawback: the screw holes on the top are not quite right. I think it's more the plastic inserts. I think the tops were formed a little high. I took them to work but I'll check them out when I get home.

They were a lot cheaper than the original GMs. They "look" like OEM. but they aren't even close to OEM quality. 2 of them weigh the same as 1 original. plastic is cheap. The fit is not exact. Both of mine had to be machined to fit the pins. Even then, they don't exactly match. I have no doubt that they will urinate. But if you are looking for a quick replacement to sell your truck. you are good . Otherwise avoid them.

They fit perfectly and were easy to install. My old ones were loose and looked worn. Every time it rained I seemed to lose a bulb and if you compare the price of 2 bulbs to this set you will see that this comes with bulbs and wiring, it was a good deal. So far they have held up great and really make the truck look new again. I also think that the turn signal is more visible and the reversing lights are more powerful. I would buy again!

Left position light - original. The right side marker light is new. Close to the original, but not quite. It may take a bit of fiddling to align the pages, but for the price it's good enough in my case. I didn't use a wire harness because I already had LEDs that require resistor splicing, so I just plugged the old wire harness/headlights into the new housing. Now I just keep the straps as a backup. The tail light assembly arrived on time and the packaging was excellent to protect it from damage in transit. The quality seems to be on par with the OEM equipment taken off the car. An added bonus at that price point was that they included a full wiring harness that runs all the way to the truck chassis as well as the lightbulbs. Turn the screwdriver and disconnect the chassis wiring connectors, this requires beginner skills. The tinted lens also offers a little customization for your truck.

These taillights arrived quickly and well packaged. The fit was almost perfect. I had to tap my hand lightly to insert the plastic guide pins, but no modification was required. If you put them in and then tighten the screws, they line up and fit normally. I've seen some reviews that the holes don't line up with the metal grommet. It moves a little so you can adjust the fit. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado with an extended cab and short bed. My original taillights were showing their age. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on new taillights as the truck is not in the best condition. Found her for about 75 and change. Received and looked at them in a few days. They look very nice, the suspension looked right and seemed to be of pretty decent quality for the price. I installed them on my truck and have only had 3 issues with them, two of which are down to my fussiness.
