Love the security of this product with the detachable strap unlike many other sun hats. We both bought 12 month old shoes when our little one was younger and loved her so much we bought the next size up when she was 12 months old. Both will still fit at 16 months but the brim of this size is larger and closes better so it is definitely true to size. Excellent quality.

This hat is very cute. I got this for my 3 month old, he is almost 5 months old now. High quality material, washes well and fits perfectly. My LO is in the 90th percentile of head size so I was worried this hat wouldn't last long, but it has room and the adjustable back strap works perfectly. I gave this 4 stars because I don't really see the need for a chin strap, it just hangs around and gets in the way.

We bought this hat for our daughter in turquoise about 6 months ago and it was perfect! I love that it grows with her and we don't have to buy a new one every month as kids grow VERY fast! I'm a size 0-9 months for my 4 month old daughter, it's nice and loose enough, definitely light, and as far as I can tell it's quite breathable, the drawstring works well, it protects her eyes and head from the Brightness sun easily, and she will definitely be able to wear it again in spring! **UPDATE: Spring is here and it still suits her. Won't be long but she's about 9 1/2 months old now.

I have ordered hats for one year old and four year old granddaughters. I ordered a size large. They can be tightened at the back and under the chin. You look great on both girls. girls love them!

I ordered a large size for my 3 year old with an above average head and it fits perfectly. I like the drawstring that allows me to tighten it on her head. I also like the brims because they are wide enough to cover her face and neck but not so big that they obscure her view. We took him swimming and to our big brothers' baseball games. I love how it looks on my 2.5 year old. The rim mostly remains rigid and stays out of her sight. She sweats profusely underneath, but we live in a very hot and humid climate.

Terrible product. I washed this sun hat ONCE and according to the instructions. The color of the black butterflies has faded and now the white ones are mostly blue and grey. As a result, the hat is ruined and can no longer be used. Such a waste of money.
