A completely different watercolor painting experience. I didn't pre-soak the board, I'll try next time. The paint seemed to slide across the surface, which I'm not used to. It worked pretty well for more abstract flowers, but I don't think I'd want to use it as a base for watercolor painting.

Aquaboard is good but expensive. Still the quality is really good, this is my first time using it and I love the texture, how the watercolor looks on it, how it feels when you paint on it, it's great and the fact that it saves you having to do the paper no trouble stretching and can hang unframed when you seal the painting. Best of both worlds, just wish it wasn't that expensive and they had a bit more choice of sizes, mostly large sizes to paint large watercolor paintings like you do with oil…

I love this watercolor card! It has texture so I wasn't impressed with using a pencil or pen but that's not what it was made for so I wasn't disappointed but it's great with watercolors! Work like a champion! Many times I've found that a certain color just doesn't suit me or I don't like a certain object in my design. I usually have to work with something that can't be removed, but this board allows you to easily pick up paint with a sponge. There is no problem with areas getting a bad dirty…
