MUSEUM-QUALITY AQUABORD: Acid-free clay and mineral ground on warp-resistant Hardbord. Highly-absorbent watercolor surface, similar in texture to cold-pressed watercolor paper. Great Canvas for Watercolors!

This Aquabord is an exceptional addition to my Arts and Crafts collection .As a result of using this product i found that it's perfect for Watercolor and Gouache painting. The surface is incredibly smooth and the colors appear beautifully saturated. Plus, I don't have to worry about the water seeping through the board like other canvases. My only concern is that it`s a bit more expensive compared to other options out there, but the quality is totally worth it! Overall, a great product!

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting surface that doesn't buckle or warp when wet media is applied.
Cons
  • Requires more paint or water than traditional watercolor paper because it absorbs more pigment and can result in a shorter lifespan for paint and brushes.

behaves differently, doesn't absorb much water but the effect is just amazing! It always arrives damaged. I bought different sizes, I have to return the big one. The replacement also has small cuts on the corners. I'm keeping this to myself, but really, how hard is it to just wrap it in bubble wrap?

Pros
  • Canvases and Panels
Cons
  • The older model
