Just be careful in handling.

Great deal for an easy connection. I only gave it 4 stars because I'm not entirely sure about the build quality, but so far so good. I added a small strip of masking tape for security and protection. Works as intended for my vintage receiver.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • No paint required

May not be water resistant from outside

Product wrapped in shrink film over fiber body. The bottom of the shrink wrap is not waterproof. This allows water to penetrate the packaging. When mounted with 300 ohm wires up, water can easily penetrate the fiber jacket.

Pros
  • Good workmanship

It is what you expect

Can't rate durability as I just received it. set to. They appear to be well suited for terrestrial television. Having used at least one of these I can update it in case there are any surprises. (good or bad)

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Good quality: cables and connections

I bought an adapter with blown insulation to replace it (a full-fledged antenna in the attic). The image quality has improved significantly with the new adapter. I only needed one but for the price why not. The only downside is that the cables were too short to connect to my antenna. I had to cut the insulation between the two wires a bit to get the connection to the antenna.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

A contact broke off immediately.

As the name suggests. Got this along with a '60s stereo receiver antenna which still works great but has poor reception and no longer has a modern antenna input. In fact, I TOUCHED the connector on the screw, and one of them broke. Anyway I just broke the other one then exposed some wires and connected it like this. The radio is working great now so that's something but I'd suggest looking elsewhere if you need that particular jack.

Pros
  • Supports HD/TV/UHF/VHF/FM frequency band 5-900MHz.
Cons
  • Only available in black

Do not use outdoors

I bought it for experiments, so I'm not giving a "bad" review, but describing what I found for other potential buyers. The outer "shell" is just a thin piece of shrink-wrapped plastic. Inside is a two-component plastic shell that is easy to disassemble. So I wouldn't use it outside as is, it doesn't look very weatherproof. However, they are perfect for my experiment, rewinding the toroid for different impedances, and when I want to use it outside with a custom antenna, it's repackaged and…

not waterproof and a bit fragile

They were intended for use on the roof. They are not waterproof. The F connector moves slightly, putting stress on the tiny wires in the ferrite transformer. In wind and rain, the device is soon out of order. The outer plastic shrink wrap was removed with a knife and I checked the inside. See photo. The end of the F-connector is protected against twisting by a plastic housing, but it is not tightened enough. The end of the double line is not completely sealed. I used epoxy to glue both ends and

Pros
  • With this adapter you can make your own DIY antenna.
Cons
  • High price
