Required to repair speaker terminals

DIYers know I'll use them all. but one is currently in use. Simply solder the speaker wires to the desired terminals and you're ready to hear.

Made in China

Bought to fix the gas leak detector battery charging connector. After the third use, the tip of this plug broke off in the socket inside the leak detector, rendering the entire instrument unusable. Save your money for something better.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

good connectors in the audio and video accessories section

Usually these connectors are pretty basic - cheap, fall apart if you look the wrong way. Those are definitely average recommendations - nicely made, easy to solder, decent grip. And the seller includes several pieces of her shrink tubing to ensure a fairly strong joint. Very good!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Careful! little boys.

These plugs look great and I'm sure they are worth the money if you are looking to replace such a tiny plug. I need a 3 pin stereo jack plug for a standard headphone and the diameter is too small. In fact, I've tried them on every audio hardware I have and it won't work on any. I started sending them back but the cost of the return was higher than the cost of the goods. live and learn

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Requires socket

Perfect for audio cables

They fit my 2.5mm jacks perfectly. Some reviewers complained that soldering the center pin melted the connection. This did not happen with the one I tested, which turned out to be perfect. Although the tab didn't want to accept the solder the way I expected. I use a high quality temperature controlled soldering iron. Perhaps the melting can be explained by a soldering iron that is too hot or held on the pencil for too long.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It's junk of cables and connectors

These are one of the few 2.5mm mono plugs I've been able to find at Revain, but they're terrible quality. I tried soldering one to the wire but the tip fell off and broke. I tried plugging another into the 2.5mm jack and the tip fell off / it fell apart (see photo). They also don't quite fit even if they don't fall apart, each one takes a lot of force to get into the 2.5mm jack and the plastic on the ring between the poles seems to be the culprit as it's poorly shaped and surrounded by flakes…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Alright

Bad contacts are good for cables and connections

I hate to give a bad review, but all four connectors are bad. The tests are good at first, but after soldering the wires to the terminals (terminals), there is no connection between the tip (center contact) and its terminal. I know that too much heat can melt the plastic, but no matter how carefully I solder, the tip no longer connects. My guess is that at the tip is a long needle with a nail-like head, and the point for the tip lies loosely under the "head" of the "nail". But the slightest…
