I use this in my sliding door that closes with a ribbon cable. Nice to buy 5 pieces for a reasonable price. I just replaced one from another company after 6 months. It only looked torn because the door was closed multiple times. But it still worked. It's good to buy a 5 pack and swap out when they start looking torn. as alimony.

Handy to use to avoid drilling holes in walls. I use mine for an outdoor antenna installed on my patio. You must be careful when opening and closing a door or window to avoid damaging the wires and losing the signal. This is the third time I order this product. My kids have trouble closing the patio door, the only reason I keep replacing it. I especially recommend them if you are in an apartment or an apartment that you don't own and can't drill a hole.

Measured loss with a spectrum analyzer on channels 8 and 10 TV (1800-200 MHz), possibly 3 dB loss when running RG-6 through a window. You have to be careful though, bending too much or opening/closing the window multiple times can open them (ask me how I know). I ended up sanding and smoothing the metal surface of the sash and then used "coax rubber" (the kind you use to seal coax fittings on the outside) on the metal bead to "soften" the transition.
