Bought this to grate cheese for pizza, baked ziti, tacos, burritos. I am a retired chef, I have one and I bought it as a Christmas present for my 28 year old niece. She used it at home and said the suction cup didn't work. She just needed to clean her counters better. Lol these things are durable and work well if you clean your counters properly. Haha

It takes a few minutes to set it up, but only because I keep it in the box. Everything snaps easily into place and the suction cup handle always keeps it securely on my counter. Grates cheese quickly. It can clog if you go crazy and bang the cheese on it without giving it time to fall into the container below. Highly recommended. Bought another one as a gift for an enthusiastic adult child.

My boyfriend is tired of grating cheese for me so I bought this for him and he loves it! Every time there's something to rub, he gets dizzy and sulks when he's not using it. This is easy when handling hard foods like parmesan or carrots, but for softer foods like colby jack or mozzarella I recommend scraping the inside every 3 turns. The suction power is STRONG and you can just place it on the top shelf of the dishwasher when you're done.

Got this grater and tried it right away. It took me 3 bricks of cheese to grate the dish. I pre-cut them into the right size strips and then serve them individually. I shredded 6 pounds of cheese in 5 minutes. It was wonderful! I then used a slicer and sliced an English cucumber in about 30 seconds. I highly recommend this kitchen appliance. I hated my old grater because the cheese stuck and it was very tedious and took forever. It was an AMAZING change! I didn't expect it to be that easy! Grated a block of sharp cheddar and broke it into chunks fit for an escape without even having to get the knife dirty.
