Good quality measuring and marking tools

Good quality soapstone marker. We use them to mark brick blocks before cutting. Traces are poorly washed out when wet cutting. Everything has arrived safely.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Not just for welders

I use soapstone instead of chalk when doing roof inspections. Mess free, lasts longer, cleaner markings and tile writing. This box is enough for more than 10 boxes of chalk.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great product but expensive

I'm a claims adjuster and I need to process roof claims. I'm tired of covering everything with chalk. A colleague had these, so I gave them a try. They are amazing. Still, $25 for a soapstone seems like a lot. There are many and the box lasts forever, but it's expensive. I haven't shopped, but you could probably find them cheaper at a hardware store.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • I'll get back to you

profitable - buy in bulk.

Great price per stick - other listings sell 5 or less for a much higher price. They come out in pennies compared to many other offerings for marking a soapstone stick, usually with a cheap holder that costs a dollar a stick. That's a large amount for my needs, but I love bargains and buy in bulk, so I'm only selling half the gross amount (144/2 = 72) on Craigslist to save on the price.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Only available in black

I bought them to mark roofs and I really like them. It lasts much longer than crayons and they are cleaner than crayons. Each stone is enough for about 10-15 roofs. I use them with a soapstone holder and they are just great. I like them better than the round ones because they give me the feel of a carpenter's pencil and I find them easier to grip. It breaks easily when dropped on the ground.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • problems
