Very well made kitchen tool

Durability is relative. I think they could be more durable but would also be a bit heavier. Anyway they are well made and I am impressed with how well the lid fits and the holes in the top are just the right size to give a good topping without adding too much or too little. I use one for powdered sugar for baking and another for rice flour to sprinkle on linen-lined wicker baskets for baking bread. Gives a good, even application. Good price, very good quality.

Pros
  • Used to evenly distribute flour, sugar, cornmeal and even spices

Great new kitchen appliance!

I saw this tool in a bread baking video. Thought this would solve my problem with evenly sprinkled flour. It worked! I'd say it's relatively new, only used 2-3 times. I find it a bit difficult to press down to distribute the flour evenly. Maybe because the tool is new. If you have arthritis, this can cause problems. It's relatively easy to clean, but I was a little hesitant about drying it thoroughly. I definitely don't want it to rust. For now I think it was a pretty good buy at a very…

Out of Service Product

This product is completely out of service. The perforated upper was nearly impossible to slip on and off. It was very difficult to hold onto the threads and the container was so slippery that when you screw the threads onto it you can't find a decent grip to try and unscrew it to refill. Even using a rubber-handled tool didn't solve the threading problem as there wasn't anything solid to grip. The handle is attached with only 6 micro welds that looked like they were prone to breaking and…

Be careful when cleaning to ensure durability.

Worked great until I got a little lazy or incomplete with cleaning. Cemented in the narrow/small ends at the end with wet flour. Couldn't get a brush or pipe cleaners or any amount of soaking to get it out. In desperation, I attempted to run a toothbrush through the coils, which inevitably had bent them to the point of being unusable. I've seen a half-face spherical feather duster there, which is a mesh that can get more expensive. I'll probably pick it next so I can open it up and clean it…
