Portable enclosure for hard drives

This enclosure is a great option for those who need to transport their hard drives. It is small and lightweight, making it easy to take with you on the go. The aluminum exterior also provides great protection for your hard drive. However, it can be a bit difficult to open and close the enclosure at times. Overall, it is a solid choice for those who work with computers and need a portable storage solution.

Good case for the price with nice aluminum construction

This case works great with the 1TB SanDisk SSD I have. According to Crystal Disk Mark, read and write speeds are over 400 MB per second for sequential read and write. Similar speeds from the basic hdparm check in Linux. Of course, if you're transferring a lot of small files, things won't be as fast (and that's common with most drives, and not just in this case). The one with ABS works great, has good speed and has an ASM235 chipset with the latest firmware.

I bought a few cases for a few different drives to compare. the fastest, and I've confirmed with as_mp_util that it has the latest firmware for the ASM235 chipset that it has, or at least the latest I could see anywhere. I compared it to the exact same Ugreen case drive with the ASM1153E chipset and this had a slight advantage in all tests. My device came with a short USB-CC cable, so I can also buy a CA adapter to be able to connect it to other ports. Overall this is excellent value for money,
