Granddaughter loves these shoes which is important because she hates wearing shoes. Parents may get tired of putting them on their feet because they have buckles, not velcro. Bows and hearts are still attached. I've seen reviews and can get gorilla glue in case the bows and hearts fall off. The granddaughter is an active tripping, tree-climbing girl; so I don't know if the shoes will survive all their adventures; but if she wore them ONLY for sitting and standing, I'm sure they would last until

Unfortunately my 2.5 year old daughter broke one of the bows the first time she wore it. I bought them for her to wear to a wedding which wasn't the first time she had worn them so I had to get them repaired (PITA). I got through my wedding, Christmas and New Year's with them, but now they're going in the trash. The gold color wears off, they are stretched and the loop is now of course lost. I would say they run small. I bought 2 pairs in size 10 for my 4 year old and they fit perfectly. I also ordered a size 7 for my 2 year old daughter who is now her normal shoe size but was a bit tight so I sent it back and bought her a size 8. Nice little shoes.
