I bought some belts in a leather shop while on vacation. The straps are very thick and will probably last a lifetime, but they were stiff and wearing didn't cause them to break. Angelus Brand Prime Neetsfoot Oil did it! It took several uses as it absorbed immediately. But now I wear it and I love it. These are great things! There was a slight smell of oil at first, but it wasn't strong and went away after a few days.

I bought the saddle at a thrift store. It was evident that the skin had dried out over time and lost some of its elasticity. I have used several coats and what a difference! It accentuated the richness of the leather and made the floral instruments look gorgeous! The wings (where the stirrups attach) are nice and flexible again. It darkens the skin a bit (I didn't mind), so keep that in mind if you don't need it.

This is a good nettle oil, a little thicker than other brands I've used. It's good to be for or against depending on the application and purpose. I was disappointed when I received this item as the bottle was not sealed and the cap came off upon delivery. About 20% of the oil ran from the bottle into the bag, which luckily was sealed well enough to keep it from spilling all over my mail. I don't know why the bottle wasn't sealed with foil like most other products of this type.

I wish I had taken a picture of my 2 year old leather boots. They were in rough shape as I am a ceramist and clay dust is constantly rubbed into the surface making it more dry. I wiped my boots down with a damp paper towel before liberally applying Neatsfoot oil to an old loofah. Wow. The skin absorbs all that good oil and looks so nourished the next day. BEFORE I put on my new work boots for the first time, I generously applied this shoe oil to all leather parts of both boots. (NOTE: The oil will darken the leather, so do not use if you wish to preserve the original, natural color of the leather.)
