These high-quality cables offer efficient and fast charging and fast data transfer. The description mentions a data transfer rate of 5 Gbps and USB 3.0. I recently read that the new name for this speed is USB 3.1 Gen 1. In any case, only USB 3.1 Gen 2 is faster at 10 Gbps. I bought these to use with my USB-C fast chargers. Don't really use them for data transfer, so I can't rate them in that department. You are quite significant. I will say one of them didn't work for me but Anker replaced it and just asked me to do some troubleshooting steps and send them a picture. A return was not necessary. I've had good luck with Anker in the past, their products seem to be well made, they back them up and replace them when they fail without undue burden on the customer…

The advertised "5000+x lifespan" is complete and utter nonsense. Both cables in my 2-pack are separated by a connector, exposing the cores and rendering them unusable. This happened with minimal use of the table, only "flexing" the cord a few times. Their durability is just terrible.

Failed in 1 week. Didn't keep in touch and slipped out of the port. Anker told me to show the serial number. Couldn't find it anywhere. Did I miss something? Too much hassle with warranty service. Anker used to be a great company. It's obvious that they got lost somewhere in their development. Too bad. I have bought so many of their products from speakers to chargers and batteries. Bought this cable (set of two 6ft cables) for two different purposes: 1. I needed a long (5ft minimum) high speed data cable to and from my Galaxy Note 8.2. I also needed a long cable (6ft was enough) to charge the same smartphone. I thought these cables would work well, I have bought other Anker products in the past. but these cables don't work at all. Not sure if they transfer data because when I tried to use them to charge while driving they didn't work. one doesn't load at all, the other doesn't load at full speed. I have tested this with other cables which work great and charge at full speed for a Samsung S8 phone.
