Great so far! on CCTV DVRs

This was a great upgrade for my 6 year old DVR! Easy to install and get started. One thing I would warn is that it comes with a remote control which works great but when I use the TV remote it can change the screen. I just blocked the remote sensor on the front of the dashcam as I don't need the dashcam remote. Highly recommended!

The application for this device is useless

So the DVR works like any other DVR but the application is complete crap. Live video doesn't even load on the same LAN. The few times this worked, the video froze after just a few seconds. will return this divar and start the search again. Oh, and forget about getting IP cameras to work. I never could and it's been over a week since customer service hasn't responded.

Does not support ONVIF motion detection. The picture is clear but the colors are washed out

I bought this device to replace a recorder that uses Flash technology in its web interface. I use AHD and IP cameras. Colors are washed out on AHD cameras, but the image is sharp enough and the frame-rate is stable, so that's not a bad thing. IP cameras do not detect movement. Pooh. Luckily I have Blue Iris for her too. The downloaded files are in HVEC format, so shell out another $30 for the conversion software if you want to edit the video in most editing programs. Software 4k vs 5mp lite.

This review is based on my experience of 4K vs 5MP for this brand. My current Night Owl DVD broke and I've decided to buy a different brand of DVD to keep my cameras working. To that end, I ended up buying the 5MP Lite version for $50, but then decided to invest a little more in the more advanced version with 4k capabilities (8MP). My first thoughts were to invest more into something better, faster, and with more features. 4k has an old interface, no way to update firmware and limited FPM. What

"Incompatible " ONVIF only supports the OSD options of your IP cameras. (Name/Date/Timestamp)

The product provides ONVIF compatibility, allowing you to add new IP cameras while keeping your old wired analog cameras. However, the ONVIF support is only for enabling the camera and recording, but does NOT support any camera functions other than setting the OSD boxes. (time, date, camera name).
