I was skeptical at first because of the high price. Working with him I found he works like a rig for 500.00. Surprisingly smooth and easy to work with. The camera fits snugly and the glide is neutral, so there's no rattling at the end or beginning.

This slider is well made but the biggest issue for me is that you can't move the slider carriage by turning the handwheel. You can spin the flywheel by depressing the bottom bracket, but there's some sort of slipper clutch mechanism that keeps it from working in reverse. The slider action was a little clunky with no load, but got a little better once my camera, lens, monitor and fluid head were attached.

In general, this is an exceptional value for a weighted slider. The five-star rating affects the price; If it was a little more expensive I would give it 4 stars.
