Revainrating 5 out of 5

Unbeatable for the price

In general, this is an exceptional value for a weighted slider. The five-star rating affects the price; If it was a little more expensive I would give it 4 stars. How: This slider is very durable and strong with an overall great fit/finish. With just a few minutes of practice, I managed to get very smooth, smooth movement with a fairly heavy camera/lens (Sony A7III with Tamron 28-75mm). Also works great with compact cameras and cell phones. The weighted flywheel does a really great job of providing a smooth and consistent gliding motion. It comes with a pretty nice body with form-fitting foam (surprising considering the super cheap price). Both ends of the flywheel have good foam bumpers to prevent hard stopping (no metal to metal contact). Set incl. adjustment key. Not really anything to complain about, but for the sake of balance I've listed some of the issues below. Dislikes: The advertised 31.5-inch size refers to the entire slider assembly, not actual travel. The maximum possible travel is 27.5 inches. However, the 27.5 inch width is only possible when the camera is not mounted or if you have a larger/thinner ball head or other mount as the flywheel is "inside" the frame and the camera or head is in front of the base glider hits. can go to the other side. In my testing, I actually got about 26.5 inches of travel, which is still very good, but a little less than I would have hoped based on the advertised specs. Gripping the flywheel makes smooth movement difficult. It's much easier to use a video ball head or just place your hand on the base of the slider than it is to use a stylus. Also, there is no convenient way to remove or replace the handle. Not the biggest store in the world but I would have preferred it to be customizable. There are NO instructions at all. Nothing. There was an extra anodized orange thumbscrew in the hardware package, but it doesn't seem to fit into one of the screw holes on the slider. I don't know what it is for and without instructions it will probably remain a mystery. On the other hand, the slider comes fully assembled, so instructions* are not required. Overall this is again very good value for money.
