HIGH PURITY NICKEL---- This nickel anode has a Nickel content of 99.6% giving it a pure nickel rating. SIZE: 1” X 6” X 0.04”---- 6 inch long, 1inch wide and 0.04 inch thick. Please refer to the picture to get the detail parameters. IDEAL MATERIAL FOR PLATING---- When used as sacrificial nickel anode, this electrode will guarantee you constant regeneration of pure Nickel content. A constant and permanent deposition of the metal is assured on the cathode side. Pure Nickel for Soldering and Soldering Equipment

Nickel works great. My vinegar mixture turned light green within the first 10 minutes of feeding. Part. Make sure the part you are covering is clean and polished. Nickel will not fill scratches or adhere to rust/grease. Your part must be flawless, if it becomes dull a quick brush with 0000 steel wool will bring a shine. I left it in the water overnight and it only rusted in places I didn't properly prep.

Ideal for electroplating

This product did what it was supposed to do. This left me with a very good nickel record, as good as you can ask for with my setup. It was possible to make an electrolyte by cutting the product in half and using it as an anode and a cathode. It was a bit tricky to cut due to its thickness, but if you have tin snips or airplane snips you can cut it just fine. I am very happy with the product and would recommend this product to anyone who wants to DIY. Nickel plating on a budget, it can be a lot…

This will cover an object the size of a basketball with a good plate.

Yes it's nickel and yes it will take a few times before it becomes nothing more than little bits at the bottom of the container. I want thicker anodes. I even tried an 8mm rod and it only lasted 6 days. I cut it in 2 parts and it took 4 days. But I leave my job day and night. I like a good thick slab so I can polish to a higher quality that others can't match. You can cover an object the size of a basketball with a nice thick panel. After that, the coating becomes thin.
