perfect for spares

Replacing the antenna was fairly easy. Pulling out the bottom of the old antenna was a little tricky. I had to stick something in the pipe to strengthen it, clamp it in a vise and knock it out with a hammer. It took many attempts until the new antenna cable was hooked onto the antenna motor, but it worked in the end.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • May damage

Perfect fit and easy installation

Perfect fit and easy installation. Before installing the mast, ensure that all parts of the old mast have been removed from the motor assembly. Just fish it in the hole and hook it to the motor. It took some effort to find its way, but once the engine was on it ran flawlessly.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Safety

Fast delivery, great product!

I bought this antenna for my Ford Taurus 02' station wagon a few months ago. I finally found the time to install it today, it works great. The old one broke in several places, so I had to remove the engine and completely disassemble it. While it wasn't as easy just unscrewing the top screw, it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Delivery was fast, works like new. Thanks!

Works as best described in Electrical

Worked great! I would suggest just opening up the motor so you can put some fresh grease in, lubricate the mast teeth and reassemble. It was hard to get the plastic chain to feed, but once it goes, it goes. Oh yes, depending on the age of the car. Look closely at the engine. I had a bushing from an old mast that melted into it. She interfered in docking things, after being removed everything fitted perfectly.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Great product great support

This is a replacement antenna for my 2005 Mercury Sable Van. The original was worn and falling apart. Despite reading the instructions and watching a few YouTube videos on how to replace the mast yourself, I ran into a few unexpected problems. I wanted to avoid โ‚ฌ100. The installation is paid in BestBuy and that's why I called the manufacturer AntennaMastsRuUs. Zach pretty much got me through a few phone calls and . although it was starting to seem lackluster - Zach's advice was to the point and

Pros
  • Always liked

  • Mostly good but...

Works great: Lights and Electrical

The antenna on my 2001 Ford Taurus station wagon no longer extends or retracts even though I could hear the engine running. I saw this and decided this was the answer as buying a new antenna unit was not even considered by Ford and I feared the used one would soon fail. A complete "universal" replacement for motor antennas didn't even come close to fitting in my car. I had to take my entire antenna assembly out of the car, which is not very easy but doable as the gooseneck that actually extends

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • No paint needed
