One of the best $22 I've ever spent

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT. The included instructions were easy to follow. I had to cut most of the antenna off and use a vise to remove the antenna socket, but otherwise. Very easy. Open the antenna assembly to remove the broken plastic cable, then reassemble. I installed the antenna according to the instructions and. "Voilà!"

Pros
  • 100% identical to the original factory mast
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

Pretty basic good for the electrics

Before disconnecting the power wires from the antenna, turn on the key and turn on the radio, then unplug the antenna. When reassembling, insert the plastic teeth that are just beginning to mesh with the gear in the motor assembly. Turn on the key and the radio and connect the power connector to the motor. Now when you turn off the radio, the plastic wire wraps around the gear and the antenna retracts into the motor. Just 2 it!

Pros
  • Detailed step by step instructions
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Glad the antenna is working again. Easy to change.

Perfect fit. Ease of installation. Make sure your engine is running by hearing when the radio turns on/off. First remove the broken end of the old one with needle nose pliers. Just pull. Then turn on the radio to allow the old plastic to slide out. Twist and pull out. Dont pull. With the radio on, use your teeth to guide the new plastic towards the front of the car. Turn off the radio, the teeth should snap into place. Insert the mast into the hole when the plastic is gone.

Pros
  • 1 year replacement guarantee
Cons
  • For old
