The only time it checked in was when I had mine.

The only time it was registered was when I held it in my hands. I entered it and it never registered. Maybe I just have one that doesn't work. Many Thanks

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Can I add something

The block didn't work at all.

The module was not working. It did not show signal strength regardless of the directional antenna, although this was of great importance when watching TV. Tried on two different antennas in two different locations. Sent back for a refund.

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Approximately

Fast but not on a specific channel

I have a fixed TV antenna in my attic and wanted to know what the best compromise is to point it. This device pointed my antenna to the area with the strongest and strongest TV signal. A portable TV would do the same, but for me it was faster and more convenient.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never

Digital TV signal meter.

I bought this gauge to help tune radios. This helps in detecting radio towers, but if a signal is coming from more than one tower the meter will not distinguish between signals and you will still need to use a TV signal scanner. This will take you to the stadium. Second, the gauge has a pre-installed battery. There is no way to replace it without opening the case.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Minor issues

I ended up returning it because it doesn't resolve well enough to fine-tune a terrestrial antenna. I was better with a compass so was disappointed. Never strike below or above the two indicator lights, even at a 10 degree aiming angle, so it just isn't sensitive enough for my application at 60 miles from the turret assembly. You may find it better suited to your application closer to the transmitters in your area. I also didn't see a way to change the battery, which would severely limit battery

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Not sure

No rooftop help for me

I've never been able to get this article on aligning a rooftop antenna to work. I bought an RCA roof antenna to mount to an existing satellite dish mount (the antenna was removed but used the mount as it was already permanently attached to the roof and protected from water). I've never been able to get this to count a signal, even after a few 360 rotations. The Power LED came on and stayed on. I know the device is receiving something because it was near the cable modem (no cables connected) and

Works perfectly. For certain things

That's how it worked for me. I bought this to find the best alignment for my external OTA antennas. Actually it isn't. I live about 45 miles out of town and when connected to my UHF or VHF antenna it shows '1'. This confused me because with the combination of Antennas Direct DB8 and Clearstream 5 I get all my channels perfectly (no gaps). Everything is great except PBS. PBS is listed as a low signal channel in my area, so I've learned to live with that. I rarely watch PBS but the kids love Ruff

  • Many fit
