I installed this filter in my humidifier today and am very impressed with its performance. Absorbs water very well! I don't know how long it will last, but so far I'm definitely happy with it!

They're not as thick and dense as the originals, but they're pretty decent in a pinch. You save some money, but you also don't filter as effectively. It's pretty much a pay-for scenario, and if you need to save some money on humidification, this will work.

I have to replace them almost every month during the winter - OEM filters are almost $20 each so half the price is a lot. This is a really simple filter - it absorbs water and filters out larger particles. OEM filters have a thinner wrap around the filter than these. So the OEM filters the air better. But we don't use it as an air filter, just a humidifier, so we don't care. They are the same height, width and thickness as the Honeywell "E" filter.

Got these to replace a Honeywell "E" OEM filter and they are perfect. I like their stiffer outer support as opposed to the simpler types where I had issues with flexing, warping etc. They stay upright and fit (and stay that way) with the top of my humidifier. The filter material absorbs moisture well, they fit perfectly, there is no smell or other defects and I find them very valuable. I am very happy with them and have used all types of filters in my two Honeywell units (three of them) as well
